Filmed from the checkerboard used for the approach into Kai Tak. Overshoots and then lines it up just to get caught in the wind...again. Unedited. You can hear another enthusiast in the background with a scanner. Airboyd.

This is a little video I made to celebrate the Gorillaz' second Hiatus. True fans will be able to pick out each clip as they go by, and pick out what they are from.
A few friends helped out making this by lending DVDs and figuring out what should stay or go.

This is a compilation of my short snippet videos short from Kowloon city under the approach path to Hong Kong's Kai Tak airport in 1998. They were uploaded individually 2 years ago, but are much easier to watch this way. http://www.kaitak.tv

No music soundtrack version. This is a landing at the new Hong Kong airport CLK. Yes, it's a bit of a firm landing ;) It's a training flight, and yes, I did flare, just not enough. It was landing #2 or #3 in the plane. Idle reverse because it's so light and the engines are big enough to slow it down. http://www.airboyd.t

As requested. A shorter version of the approach into Kai Tak without the music. Again, the lead in lights are barely visible through the rain as the video starts and then we get a great view of the checkerboard through to touchdown. This approach is in the rain. The other video is a little clearer but still grey out.
